Carlos Ghosn learned from the Wall Street Journal that the French justice system had issued an international arrest warrant for him on April 21.

Immediately, Carlos Ghosn’s spokespersons said:

“Carlos Ghosn was informed through the media that an international arrest warrant has been issued against him.

It is not an arrest warrant issued by France but by the Nanterre prosecutor’s office in an ongoing investigation.

This warrant is very surprising because the investigating judge and the Nanterre prosecutor are fully aware that Carlos Ghosn, who has always cooperated with French justice, is subject to a judicial ban on leaving Lebanese territory.”

Then in a series of interviews, Carlos Ghosn was keen to explain why he contested any irregularities and also to note that he continued to be the target of a relentless pursuit.
