Following Renault’s report, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office decided to open an investigation regarding the 50 000 euros in rent offered to Carlos Ghosn during a private event held in Versailles.
Reuters specifies the investigation is being carried out by the Central Office Against Corruption, Financial and Fiscal Offences.
Although Renault has made other reports, the court is, at this stage, only looking into this rental cost.
