Statement from spokesperson:
After 8 months of no contact, and 7 requests to lift the bail condition preventing them from communicating, we have been informed that Mr. Ghosn and his wife Carole have only been granted a single video conference call.
It will be limited to an hour, in the presence of lawyers and the conversation will be restricted to topics pre-determined by the judge. The conversation will also be recorded and reported back to the Judge and the prosecutors.
We will continue to pursue a removal of these wholly unreasonable, inhumane bans altogether for M. Ghosn and his wife’s fundamental human rights to be respected .
