On 8 January, in front of 150 international and world TV journalists, Carlos Ghosn gave a press conference lasting nearly 2.5 hours, answering all the questions journalists asked him.
For an hour and 15 minutes, the former leader claimed his innocence and swept aside the charges against him point by point.
Then, for 1 hour and 10 minutes, the former boss of Renault and Nissan answers questions from the media in English, Arabic, French and Portuguese.
During these two and a half hours, Carlos Ghosn explain that, since 2016, Nissan’s management has been in a position of distrust towards Renault. This makes Carlos Ghosn the man to beat. He explains the trap set by Nissan by detailing his arrest and denouncing the collusion between Nissan, the prosecutors and the METI. All these events were carried out in total violation of human rights and without respect for the presumption of innocence. With supporting evidences, he dismantled the charges against him, finally bringing to light the contradiction that he has not been granted so far.
Many interviews with the international media followed, in which Carlos and Carole Ghosn responded in detail to each of the accusations made against him.
